Privacy Policy

What information I collect when you visit this site or contact me, how I use it, who I share it with, and how you can ask me to review, correct or delete it, or not to use it for advertising.

Updated October 6, 2026

1. Who I am and what this covers

I'm Gabby Lucero, a California Registered Legal Document Assistant and California Notary Public. This policy explains how I handle the personal information I collect through this website, gabbyluceronotary.com, and through the contact options listed on it: the quote form, WhatsApp, phone, email and online scheduling.

It was written with the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA) and the privacy rights California law gives its residents in mind. If you have any questions, you'll find how to reach me at the end.

2. Information I collect

Information you give me

  • When you request a quote or send a message: your name, email, phone number, the service you're interested in and whatever you tell me in the message.
  • When you contact me by WhatsApp, phone or email: your number or email address and the content of the conversation.
  • When you book online: scheduling runs on Calendly, which collects your name, email, phone number and appointment details. If an appointment requires payment, it is processed by the payment provider connected to Calendly; I never receive or store your full card number.
  • When I provide a service: the documents and ID the task requires, and the details California law requires me to record in my notary journal, including a thumbprint when the law requires one.

Please don't send Social Security, ID or card numbers through the form or by message. If a task needs them, I'll tell you how to share them safely.

Information collected automatically

Like almost every website, this one records technical data when you visit: IP address, device and browser type, language, the page you came from, the pages you view, date and time, and clicks on the contact buttons (WhatsApp, call, book and send quote). If you arrived from an ad, which ad you came from is recorded too. This is done with cookies and similar technologies, explained in section 5.

3. How I use it

  • To reply to you, give you a quote, schedule your appointment and provide the service you asked for.
  • To meet my legal obligations, such as keeping a notary journal and certain records.
  • To protect the site and its forms from spam and abuse.
  • To understand how the site is used, through aggregate statistics, so I can improve it and see which information people find useful.
  • To measure which Google and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) ads bring people to the site, and to show my ads to people who have already visited it.

I don't sell your personal information for money. What I do is use Google's and Meta's advertising tools for my own ads, as explained in sections 4 and 5.

4. Who I share it with

Only with the services that help me run this site and serve you, and only what each one needs:

  • Hosting and domain: GoDaddy, where the site lives.
  • Email: Microsoft 365, where I receive form submissions and email.
  • Scheduling: Calendly and its payment provider, when you book online.
  • Messaging: WhatsApp (by Meta), when you choose to message me there.
  • Analytics: Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, for site statistics.
  • Advertising: Google Ads and Meta (Facebook and Instagram). Their tags on the site tell them which pages you visited and whether you contacted me or booked an appointment, so I can measure my ads and show them to people who have already visited the site. Google and Meta use that data under their own privacy policies: Google's and Meta's.
  • Spam protection: Google reCAPTCHA, on the forms.
  • Google content: fonts (Google Fonts) and the Google reviews shown on the site, which make your browser connect to Google's servers.
  • Site management: Adverse Studio, the agency that maintains the site and its analytics.
  • Authorities: when a law, court order or competent authority requires it.

I don't sell your personal information for money, and I don't give it to third parties so they can market their own products to you. Using Google's and Meta's advertising tools may count as "sharing" personal information for targeted advertising under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). If you don't want your information used that way, you can ask me as explained in sections 6 and 9.

5. Cookies, analytics and advertising

A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. These are the ones used here:

CookieSet byPurposeDuration

_ga, _ga_KS7FBNYMFNGoogle AnalyticsTell visits apart and measure how the site is used.Up to 2 years

_fbp, _fbc, frMetaMeasure my ads on Facebook and Instagram and show them to people who have already visited the site.Up to 90 days

Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months. You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings, and stop Google Analytics from recording your visits with its opt-out browser add-on. For ads, you can turn off personalized advertising in Google's My Ad Center and in your Meta ad preferences, or with the opt-out tools of the Digital Advertising Alliance and the Network Advertising Initiative. Google explains how it uses information from sites that use its services on this page.

6. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. Because there is still no common standard for responding to it, this site does not change how it works when it receives one. Through their cookies and tags, Google and Meta may collect information about your activity on this and other websites over time; the previous section explains how to limit that.

Global Privacy Control (GPC) is honored. If your browser or an extension sends that signal, the site treats it as a request not to use your information for targeted advertising: in that browser, Google Ads tags run without advertising cookies or remarketing, and Meta's tags load in Limited Data Use mode.

7. How long I keep it

  • Messages and quotes: as long as needed to serve you and keep my business records.
  • Notary journal and required records: as long as California law requires.
  • Advertising: cookies last as shown in the table in section 5; what Google and Meta keep is governed by their own policies.
  • Site statistics: 14 months in Google Analytics.

When I no longer need the information, I delete it or keep it in a form that doesn't identify you.

8. How I protect it

The site uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), access to information is limited, and I work with established providers. No system is foolproof, but if an incident ever affected your information, I would notify you as the law requires.

9. Your California rights

If you live in California, you can ask me to:

  • Tell you what personal information I have about you, where it came from, how I use it and who I share it with.
  • Give you a copy of that information.
  • Correct information that is wrong.
  • Delete your information, except what the law requires me to keep, such as my notary journal.
  • Not use your information for targeted advertising (what the law calls opting out of "sale or sharing"). You can also do this by turning on GPC in your browser (section 6).
  • Stop sending follow-up or promotional messages.

To make a request, email or call me using the details in section 13. I'll ask for a few details to confirm it's you, or that you're acting on that person's behalf, and I'll respond within 45 days. Exercising any of these rights won't change the price or quality of the service you receive.

California law also lets you ask, once a year, whether I share personal information with third parties for their direct marketing. I don't, and if you ask I'll confirm it in writing.

10. Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect their information here. When a task involves a minor, such as a travel consent letter, the information comes from their parent or guardian.

11. Links to other sites

This site links to WhatsApp, Calendly, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and Google. Once you leave, those services' privacy policies apply, not this one.

12. Changes to this policy

If I change this policy, I'll post the new version here with its date. If the change is significant, I'll also announce it visibly on the site.
